HELP! M.A.C Eyeliners

By heavenlygorgeous · November 17, 2009 · 62 Comments · 256 Views

I am contemplating on which one to buy. I have never used gel eyeliners before and thought of giving it a try. I have been reading good reviews about it and same goes for the Technakohl eyeliner too. But the only reason that's making me think twice about buying the Fluidline is that i'm afraid it will dry up fast as it is in a pot. But so far, all the reviews that i've read and watched on YouTube did not mention anything about it drying up.

For those of you girls who're using these two M.A.C products, can you please advise me on this? Which one is worth to buy? Should i get both or should i just get one of it?

Robinsons Expo Sale & A M.A.C Haul

By heavenlygorgeous · November 14, 2009 · 32 Comments · 162 Views

I went to the Robinsons Expo Sale yesterday. The main purpose of going there is of course, to check out the cosmetics especially the YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick. But too bad, the color (Lingerie Pink) that both me and Amy (Purplio) wanted was out of stock and there's only one color left which is something like dark brown in color (i forgot the name of the color).

The cosmetic products doesn't interests me that much. There's E.L.F (which was going two for SGD 12 for all products), L'oreal, ZA Cosmetics, Givenchy and more.

So i head off to the clothings and undergarments department. There's Mooks, New Urban Male, Puma, FCUK and some other unknown brands. The clothings doesn't interests me much as well. Coming on to the undergraments department, i literally went crazy when i saw La Senza G-strings going off at five for SGD 10 and the bras at SGD 19 each. I am a sucker for La Senza undergarments lah ok. So i bought the G-strings and two bras to match.

That's the only stuffs i bought from the Robinsons Expo Sale. And for your info, the Robinsons Expo Sale is on until 15th November 2009. Then on the 18th November 2009, there will be a John Little Expo Sale.

Well, besides that, i got a M.A.C Powder Blush in Notable which i bought from a friend for only SGD 25. It's brand new in box. This blush is a limited edition color from the Makeup Art Cosmetics Collection by Richard Phillips. This my second M.A.C blush. The first one was the Mineralize Blush in Fad-Dabulous from the ColorCraft collection.

I love the color. It's heavenly gorgeous! But too bad the camera has to spoil the gorgeousness of it.  *pppfffttt*  Gawd. I now realized that i got two new blushes to use. I know, kiasu.  *bluek*

I Nuovi Mystery Shopper Experience

By heavenlygorgeous · November 12, 2009 · 18 Comments · 105 Views

So i went on a mission as a mystery shopper at two of I Nuovi stores yesterday - Junction 8 and Suntec City. How's the experience? I think it was great and exciting at the same time. Loving the thrill and the adrenaline rush of it!

First, i went to I Nuovi at Junction 8 and was served by Pearlynn Goh. The moment i stepped into the store, she greeted me and proceed to serve me. She did whatever that was asked in the questionnaire. I like the way she served me. She was very friendly, helpful and didn't even sighed when i asked her a lot of questions regarding the products. Well, it was my first time buying the products, so i might as well take the opportunity to know more about it. I'm satisfied with all her answers, though.

The only thing that irritated me the most is that there's these two other BA(s) (beauty advisors) there were just sitting the whole time at the counter and played with their handphones! They didn't even acknowledge me at all! Even though there's another customer in the store, Pearlynn was the one who greeted and served her for awhile, while the two were in their own world. How unprofessional of them!

And i also don't like the store's lightings. It has yellow lightings and it was difficult for me to see the colors of the swatches on my hands. I actually prefer bright white lightings. And Junction 8's store is way too small. In the end, i bought a blush from the store.

Next, i went to I Nuovi at Suntec City and was served by Jessie Chua. She didn't greet me when i stepped into the store as she was busy with another two customers. But she acknowledged me just by smiling a few seconds after. So i went to the counter and played around with the eyeshadows and eyeliners and was contemplating on what to buy. A customer just walked into the store and i heard Jessie excused herself from the two customers and proceed to serve me and greeted the new customer at the same time.

She asked me questions like what items was i looking for, i prefer waterproof or non-waterproof eyeliners, ink or pencil eyeliners and etc. She's a very helpful and friendly BA. I pitied her so much because she got to move from customers to customers from time to time because she was the only BA working at the store. I wonder why Junction 8 has three BA(s) when Suntec City has only one BA? But still, Jessie made a lot of effort to serve all the customers in the shop so that all of us won't feel neglected. I mean, i've been in the retail line for years and i know how it's like being the only SA (sales assistant) in the shop and had to serve four to seven customers at the same time. And especially if they're very demanding customers. Only God knows how i felt.

And also, i love love love the store's bright white lightings! The store is also spacious. I think I Nuovi at Suntec City will be my favorite store of all. And guess what i bought from the store? I bought an eyeshadow.

Ok lah. I think enough of the rambling already. Let's take a look at what i bought.

I bought the D27 Eyeshadow in Sabrina (SGD 22) and D36 Blush in Caramel (SGD 24). I think the packaging is cute. It looks like little UFO(s).

And for your info, the D27 eyeshadow has the same weight and size as M.A.C eyeshadows. Diana (Adore Beauty) depot her I Nuovi eyeshadows and add it into her M.A.C palette. Isn't it great?

I think I Nuovi D27 Eyeshadow in Sabrina is a dupe for M.A.C Black Tied eyeshadow. It's black with glitters. I've always wanted to get M.A.C's Black Tied. But since I Nuovi got it also, i might as well buy it.

And i like the blush that i bought. Haven't tried it on my cheeks yet, though. There were too many blushes to choose from and i ended up getting the blush in Caramel. The pink blushes looks so cute and pretty but i'm scared that it doesn't suit my skin color.

So yeah. That's about it. Do share your mystery shopper experiences too ok.  *grins*

Missing Questionnaires

By heavenlygorgeous · November 11, 2009 · 12 Comments · 86 Views

I know that most of you girls are involved in the I Nuovi 'Be A Mystery Shopper' Program and i'm in it too. We were told to hand over the sealed envelopes with the questionnaire inside at the store's counter when we've made our payments for the items.

But, one thing that worried us most is about the questionnaires not reaching Deborah Lee at all. The MUA(s) might tear open our envelopes and throw it in the bin if they happen to read negative remarks written in the questionnaire. We're definitely taking precautions aren't we? This kind of things might happen without us knowing.

So, i emailed Deborah Lee on behalf of you girls and asked about it. And this is what she replied.

(click the picture to view better)

We can all put our doubts to rest now, huh? I think i'm going to mail the questionnaires to their office instead. It's safer that way. And girls, don't forget to keep your receipts if you hand the questionnaires over at the counter. Just in case they didn't receive your questionnaires, at least you have the receipt to prove to them.

Have fun acting as a mystery shopper, girls!

And the package contains:

I have until 20th November to do this program. I'll probably start doing it by this week i guess. I'll do the one at Junction 8 first and then Suntec City. Have you girls receive yours already? I'm actually excited to do this mystery shopper thingy. I hope it'll be a great experience for me!  *dance around*

Four Items Haul From IMM

By heavenlygorgeous · November 10, 2009 · 34 Comments · 130 Views

I went to IMM yesterday and bought some stuffs from The Face Shop and Daiso. I just can't go home from IMM without buying anything. I seriously don't know why. My hands just itched to buy something whenever i'm there.

1. Nail Color in BR 805 - SGD 2.90 (The Face Shop). I tested this on my fingers when i was at the shop and my Mama said it was nice. And i thought it was nice too.

2. Nail Supplement [Nail Top Coat] - SGD 2.90 (The Face Shop). I was too engrossed at testing out the nail polishes that i forgot to grab the Base Coat as well.

3. Cross Type Fake Eyelashes in #4 - SGD 2 (Daiso). I love their Voluminous Type Fake Eyelashes in #12 as well. But this looks more natural and gives my lashes more volume.

And here are the pictures of the nail color.

I love love love the color!

And if you girls remember my previous haul that i bought a nail polish from The Face Shop also in RD 301. I forgot to take pictures of it when i applied it on my nails. So, here are the pictures.

I just find it weird to see my nails in red. Maybe because this is the first time i'm using red nail polish? What do you think? Does it suit my skin tone or is it too red for me? Or should i go for a darker red instead? Give me your honest opinion, girls. Critics are welcome with open arms.

P/S: I applied two coats of the nail polishes on my nails for both colors. And sorry if it's messy. I still need to have a lot of practice applying nail polishes to my nails.  *winks*

ZA Cosmetics, Bourjois & SilkyGirl

By heavenlygorgeous · November 9, 2009 · 31 Comments · 138 Views

I went to Watsons at IMM today and spotted some good stuffs that i would like to share with you girls.

Za Cosmetics Love In Bloom collection. This is of course, limited edition. Price is SGD 33.50. The box includes a compact of your choice, two refills of the ZA Two-Way Cake Foundation Powder and a Dazzling Love Pouch available in two colors.

Eight shades available for the ZA Two-Way Cake Foundation Powder.

There are two kind of designs for the compacts.

This is the Night Reverie design with the Dazzling Love Pouch in metallic silver. The compact powder is silver in color and the designs are in glittery silver, pink and black.

And this is the Pink Passion design with the Dazzling Love Pouch in metallic pink. The compact powder is faded pink in color and the designs are basically in glittery silver only.

Personally, i digg the Night Reverie. The heart shape is what attracts me the most. I just find it cute.  *winks*

Next will be the Bourjois Smokey Eyes Trio.

There are six shades (supposed to have eight shades when i checked on their website) available - Gris Dandy, Bleu Rock, Nude Ingenu, Vert Trendy, Rose Vintage and Violet Romantic (Or Baroque and Mordore Chic are unavailable - I don't know why). My favorites will be Gris Dandy, Rose Vintage and Violet Romantic. Each palette costs SGD 24. And if you must know, it's formula respects the delicate eye area - enriched with mineral powders, free of fragrance and dermatologically tested, it is suitable for sensitive eyes. And sorry to say that i was too engrossed in taking the photos and looking out for the SA(s) at the same time (just in case they're around and catch me taking photos secretly with my handphone) that i forgot to do the swatches. Maybe you girls can check them out at your nearest Watsons store and see how pigmented they are.

Lastly, SilkyGirl products.

Sporty, Cool, Stylish and Funky EDT - SGD 11.90. I'm not really a fan of their perfumes but i smelled each of it and i quite like it.

Limited Edition Duo Eyeshadow - SGD 6.90 (Promotion price) [U.P - SGD 8.90]. I can't remember the names of the colors.

Moisture Rich Lipcolor - SGD 8.90 (Promotion price) [U.P - SGD 10.90]. There are five new colors available - Sexy, Playful, Energetic, Sporty and Cute.

Blush Hour - SGD 7.90 (Promotion price) [U.P - SGD 9.90]. I think there's no new shades for this, if i'm not wrong. They just include this in the promotion as well.

So there. Go to your nearest Watsons store right away to check out these great stuffs!

I Nuovi 'Be A Mystery Shopper' Program

By heavenlygorgeous · November 5, 2009 · 33 Comments · 200 Views

I emailed I Nuovi regarding the 'Be A Mystery Shopper' program yesterday and received a reply email from Deborah Lee just a while ago informing me that i've been choosen for the program.  *dance around*  I will be expecting to receive the package by early next week. I have opted for the outlets at Suntec City and Junction 8. I know that some of you girls are taking part in this program too. May i know which outlets are you girls going? And i don't know if we could come down to the stores and do the mystery shopper thingy together.

I am so excited to be a mystery shopper! And furthermore, i love that I Nuovi is giving us $40 vouchers as well for us to spend at the stores. If we submit both questionnaires by 20th November 2009, they will collect and validate both of our questionnaires and will contact us regarding the additional $40 vouchers! How cool is that!!!

For those who would like to sign up for the program, email I Nuovi now! Click on the picture to read more information about the program.

SilkyGirl Lash Prism Waterproof Mascara

By heavenlygorgeous · November 5, 2009 · 6 Comments · 44 Views

I bought this just because the Onsugar girls were raving about the 'buy one get one free' promotion for some of the SilkyGirl items. So i thought it was the best time to give a try on their mascaras.

This is how the applicator looks like.

It looks a bit like the Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara's applicator.

And the before and after pictures.

I did not curl my eyelashes with an eyelash curler before applying the mascara. I applied three coats on my upper eyelashes and none on the lower eyelashes.

Color: Blackest Black (01)

Size: 4 ml

Price: SGD 9.90 - I got it during their 'buy one get one free' promotion.

Description: A waterproof mascara that lengthens and volumizes lashes. Its Cross Hook Fiber Brush separates lashes for a curlier and fuller look.

The GOOD: It volumized my eyelashes just a bit. Not too dramatic. It doesn't clump if you give about two to three coats on your eyelashes. The waterproof formula definitely does it magic. Doesn't smudge, flake or weigh my eyelashes down after a whole day of using it. Lengthening is ok. Great for everyday use since it doesn't give you very dramatic eyelashes kind of look. It removes effortlessly with Swisspers Cleansing Eye Make-up Remover Pads.

The BAD: It'll get all clumpy like crazy if you give your eyelashes about five to six coats. I don't really like the packaging. The color and the printed words are so bleargh. BORINNNGGG... It also takes a while to dry.

Product: ★★★★☆

Packaging: ★★☆☆☆

Purchasable at: Guardian, Watsons, Mustafa Centre

Recommended: Yes

Would i buy it again?: Yes. If i'm short of cash to buy a new mascara.

Stage Studio Perfect Creme Camouflage Concealer

Photobucket

This is the first ever Stage product that i used and owned. Stage is having a '$10 Special' promotion and many of the Onsugar girls had been raving about this concealer. So, see-ing all the positive reviews from the Onsugar girls, i decided to hop onto the bandwagon too. And now, i didn't regret buying this concealer at all. Honestly, i'm loving this concealer too much that i forgot all about my M.A.C Select MoistureCover Concealer. I know. I'm so bad.  >_<

P/S: So sorry for the bleargh picture. I just pat on the concealer onto my undereye and didn't blend it together with my ZA Two-Way Foundation Powder. The picture quality sucks, anyway.

Color: Ginger (07) - This is the darkest color that they have.

Size: 5 g / 0.17 oz

Price: SGD 20 - But i got it for SGD 10 during the '$10 Special' promotion.

Description: A smooth and rich cream concealer with a weightless finish. This high covering cream conceals dark circles, blemishes and uneven skin tones. Glides and blends with exceptional ease and comfort, this is the perfect tool for a flawless finish.

The GOOD: I only use this for my undereye. It certainly conceals my dark circles. I love the smooth texture and it blends effortlessly. It isn't drying at all. The smell of the concealer is not strong.

The BAD: I don't like the smell when i sniffed it from the pot itself. But not to worry, the smell is not there when you apply it anywhere on your face.

Product: ★★★★★

Packaging: ★★★★★

Purchasable at: All Stage counters

Recommended: Yes

Would i buy it again?: Yes. I will definitely keep on buying to replenish.

Precious Beauty Vitamin E Lip Plumping Lip Balm

By heavenlygorgeous · November 3, 2009 · 2 Comments · 43 Views

I bought this just because it says Lip Plumping on the packaging. So i maybe thought this lip balm plumps my lips. And furthermore, it's cheap. You'll never know if there's a cheap lip plumping lip balm that work wonders without trying.

Size: 3.5g

Price: SGD 2

Description: Precious Beauty Lip Plumping contains vitamin E that is an important nourishing element. Leaves your delicate lips soft, supple and sexy.

The GOOD: This lip balm really, really moisturized my lips. Surely leaves my lips feel soft and supple. It makes my lips very glossy as though i've applied lip gloss. It isn't sticky. Doesn't make my lips chapped.

The BAD: It doesn't plump my lips at all.

Recommended: No - If want something that plumps your lips. Yes - If you want a very moisturizing lip balm with a very affordable price.

My Very First M.A.C Mascara

By heavenlygorgeous · November 3, 2009 · 24 Comments · 108 Views

I went to M.A.C at Tangs Orchard yesterday and wanted to get the Zoom Fast Black Lash Mascara. But too bad it was out of stock. So i had one of the MUA to call up Vivocity and asked if they have any stocks there. Lucky me that they have it and put one on reserved for me. So i went to Vivocity to get it right after that. I was very excited because this was my very first high-end mascara that i ever owned. I used to use Clinique High Impact Mascara back then, but that was my Mama's, not mine. So that doesn't count.

This baby is the newest mascara that M.A.C has came out with together with the Style Black collection (or is it the Dsquared² collection?). It's the same as the Zoom Lash Mascara - the packaging, the brush applicator and the price. The difference is that Zoom Fast Black Lash Mascara is more pigmented. More darker in color and is only available in one color - black. And also longer in name-wise.  -_-   Whereas Zoom Lash Mascara have two colors available - Zoomblack and Lofty Brown. As you all know, the price for all M.A.C mascaras are SGD 22 each. But since i used my Mama's Tangs card, i only paid SGD 20.80 for it.

I don't know if i'm going to love this mascara or not. I have yet to try it. I got to finish up my SilkyGirl Lash Prism Mascara (it's getting drier and drier day by day) and then start using this baby. And of course, i'll do a review on it after that.

Next... I went to M.A.C at Robinsons Raffles City few days back and found the Patisserie lipstick on the lipsticks rack. I just find it weird that knowing it was a limited edition color, i don't know why it's still on the lipsticks rack since the collection is  nomore displayed on the counters. I asked one of the MUA (when i was at Tangs Orchard yesterday) about it and she said maybe they still have stocks for the lipstick. So i called M.A.C at Robinsons Raffles City up and asked if they have anymore stocks for it. Sadly, there's nomore. I told them that i just saw the lipstick on the rack few days ago and asked why the fish did they still put it on display if it's out of stock. And that they should remove it at this instance so as not to confuse the customers (like me). Or else i'll make a complain to the HQ about the MUA(s) being irresponsible about their job. And the MUA on the phone was like, "Ok sure. We will remove it at this instance." I just said bye and hang up and laughed my arse off. But i don't know if they really remove the lipstick right at that moment or not. Whatever.

[BAROQUE BOUDOIR COLLECTION UPDATES]

I asked Finaz (my MUA) about the Baroque Boudoir collection. She said it will be out this coming December but not really sure about the exact date. Please take note that it will only be available exclusively at M.A.C at Tangs Orchard and Vivocity and there's only limited pieces in stock - like 5-10 pieces for each colors. I think you girls can make pre-orders just like the Magic, Mirth and Mischief collection. Well, this is what my MUA told me. Until then, just wait for new updates.

What's In My Essential Kit?

By heavenlygorgeous · November 2, 2009 · 20 Comments · 191 Views

I was tagged by Jasmine (Xbeanie). Thank you so much for tagging me, Jasminelove. You tagged me at the right time because i'm not busy at this moment.

So, what's in my essential kit?

I know. A lot, right? Well, like Jasmine (Xbeanie), i store my essential stuffs in a tool box that i got from Daiso. Everything in the box shown in the picture are what i reach out for most of the time. I hate storing them separately in the drawer boxes (except for the M.A.C Fix+ spray because it doesn't fit into the box) as i find it very troublesome to pull out the drawer boxes every time i need to get stuffs.

Storing the essential stuffs that i use most of the time in the tool box lessen the hassles for me. I just put the box on my computer table (yes. That's where i doll myself up even though i have a full-length mirror attached to the wall), open it and chuck everything out on the table.

I rotated using some of the stuffs too, actually. But sadly, i love the Stage Studio Perfect Creme Camouflage Concealer too much that i forgot all about the M.A.C Select Moisturecover Concealer. I'm so bad.  *bluek*

Anyway, here are the gorgeous ladies that are tagged:
